Our Principles

The Ghost Boosters operates on the principle that ALL sports are equally important.  Throughout the year, the Ghost Boosters participates in events that help to raise funds for athletes at Illinois Valley Central High School.

What We Do

With parent support, The Ghost Boosters man the concession stands during the  football, soccer and baseball seasons, sponsor the annual Fish Fry and Silent Auction, host several pre-game suppers, produce fall/Winter Sports program books, and profits from these, along with our annual membership drive, are used to support the following annual and individual expenditures for IVC athletes:

• $30,000 to Training Facility

• Athletic Letters—Pins—Ribbons

• 2 - 3 Sport Athletic Scholarships - one male/one female

• Individual sport stipends

• Weight & strengthening equipment

• Football blocking sled

• Baseball batting cage

• Wrestling shorts

• Volleyball warm-ups

• Electronic track timer

• TV & Digital Camera

• Portable Tent

• Athletic field signage

• Bigger-Faster Stronger sponsorship

• Golf balls

• Soccer goal nets

• National cheerleading competition sponsorship

• Soccer/track warm-ups

• Portable backstop

The Ghost Boosters meet every third Wednesday of each month.

The Ghost Boosters meet the third Wednesday of every month and all parents and community members are encouraged to attend. Location is the IVC High School Library when available. Time and location changes will be posted on this site. Family memberships are $20 and Business Booster memberships are $25. Payment of dues establishes voting privileges in the club. 

All members are encouraged to solicit their friends and neighbors within IVC School District to join and/or support IVC Athletic Boosters Club. Members do not need to have children enrolled in the school district to gain membership.
